Sun Belt Cities Continue to Boom

Johnston County was the fastest-growing county in North Carolina between 2010 and 2020, and it continues to welcome new residents to the area. A new Zillow report named two North Carolina cities among the hottest in the housing market in 2022. Raleigh came in at #3 and Charlotte at #5 when compared to the 50 largest metros in the country.

The area continues to see new housing communities developing, and home values are predicted to continue rising by as much as 21% through November.

Holiday Express at Pullen Park

While Pullen Park is a popular destination year-round, there’s nothing like visiting during the holidays! Take a rise on the miniature train, spin on the carousel, or meander through the thousands of lights late into the night.

51st Annual Oakwood Candlelight Tour

Experience the holidays in a historic fashion in this community of Victorian homes dating from the mid-1800s to early 1900s. Explore the interiors of these elegantly decorated homes and listen to tales told by docents.

Dec. 31

First Night Raleigh

Ring in the new year in downtown Raleigh! This annual tradition is a true all-day festival with more than 100 performances spanning 35 venues. Cap off the family fun with the giant acorn drop at midnight as fireworks light up the night sky.
